Seikon no Qwaser, also referred to as The Qwaser of Stigmata, is a new Anime being produced by Hiraku Kaneko. Only 2 episodes at present, have been released, both having very censored videos (makes it almost impossible to understand what’s going on with all that’s cut out). I watched the first episode censored, and figured it was pointless continuing to watch it censored, thus I waited a few weeks for AT-X to release their Uncensored Webcast of it. Now, the Uncensored Webcast was exactly what you’d expect from an Anime like this – there were boobs flying out everywhere, loads of Gothic Church crap and a cute Nun in an awesome side cut uniform, (not to mention the incredibly high pitched girls voices, the big boob’d shy girl, the bully girl, the emo kid, I can go on….)

I’ll let some pictures explain some of what I’m talking about.

Anyway.. you see where I’m going with this.

From first impression, the Anime looks similiar to Queen’s Blade in terms of how much nudity is in it. When there isn’t nudity, there’s a bunch of school girls falling over, panty flashes, bouncing boobs, and pretty much everything else any pervy Anime fan wants from an Anime. Which is good – don’t get me wrong. The animations and models of the girls are well done, they look amazing. It just takes away from the story though, as I’d expected it to be somewhat similiar to D.Gray-Man, as it resembles it rather closely, (as does Alex).

Animation: 7/10

The animation is good in Seikon no Qwaser. I mean, it’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but it’s nicely done (in the uncensored episode). It can get a little choppy at times, but so can alot of Anime.

Story: 4/10

It’s nothing we haven’t already heard 100 times over. Angry girl finds Emo kid. Emo kid has uber powers. Bad guys fight Emo kid. etc., etc. What’s wrong here? Everything! We’ve seen this soooo many times before. Sure, not the fact that Alex has to drink breast milk straight from all the girls’ boobs, that’s original there. The rest of the story though, is definitely not something that can get you hooked in the first episode.

Music: 4/10

Wait, what music? The anime is a Gothic supernatural action Anime, so you’d think there would be an upbeat soundtrack, like Tsubasa Chronicles, or My-HiME. But no. Just your normal crappy everyday Anime music.

Overall: 5/10

The Good:

Nice animation

Heaps of ecchi/nude boobs flashing everywhere (should please you Otaku’s)

The Bad:

Everything else (lol)
