Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Legend of Korra
If you thought Avatar: The Last Airbender ended when the fire nation was defeated: you were wrong. Nickelodeon is releasing a spinoff to the hugely popular Avatar series, titled “The Legend of Korra“. The new Avatar series will premier in 2011, chronicling the journey of a new Avatar, Korra, a female water bender.
Nickelodeon has stated that the series will “build on the mythology” of the Avatar series.
Brown Johnson has described Korra‘s personality as “hotheaded, independent, and ready to take on the world.” Which is quite different from what we saw with Aang.
Avatar: The Last Airbender was ranked among Nickelodeon’s most popular series, on both Nickelodeon, and Nicktoons.

the movie was. HORRIBLE!!! THEY CHANGED EVERY THING!! The names, plot they want they’re probly gona make three more movies… i could do better than them! i hope this series is good and hope they get a new directer for the movie

aw! I don’t know if I should be happy or not, I mean, I am, but Avatar wouldn’t be the same without Aang as the main character or even the others like Katara, Sokka, TOPH! I hope they make a cameo in the new one.

@ Khsupafan Aang might be in it, as a wise previous Avatar or something, but pretty much new series, new story, I don’t even know when they’re going to do with the story now seeing as the main driving force for the last story (the Fire Nation invading bizniz) has all been resolved etc. still, hope i’s good, and can’t wait!

Korra was born in the Southern Water Tribe some time after the death of Avatar Aang. Not much is known about her early life.And i am the real aang i died after korra was born.that means my spirit in korra and avatar roku spirit in korra.

And another thing.. the movie actually didnt screw up much. it was only hte first book. Water. and the only thing that they REALLY messed up on was that firebenders couldnt bend without fire already there
