Beyblade: Metal Fusion English Dubbed

Corus Entertainment, a popular Canadian television company, announced on Friday, that the new Beyblade Anime – Beyblade: Metal Fusion will be premiering on TV in the US, on Saturday, June 26, at roughly 7:30pm. Cartoon Network, America’s leading cartoon broadcasting network, previously announced that it will be running this new Anime, based on the Beyblade game and Manga franchise.

Corus Entertainment gave us this plot summary:

Competing for dominance with their spinning Beyblade tops, the perilous organization of the Dark Nebula is vying for world domination. The only person standing in their way is teenager Gingka, who struggles to find his strength to honor Beyblade and save the world.

Beyblade: Metal Fusion already aired in Japan, last April, under the name – Metal Fight Beyblade. Corus Entertainment describes the Anime as a 51 Episode Series, even though the 56th Episode is being aired in Japan this Sunday. The Metal, in the new Anime, is reference to the use of Metal as part of the Beyblade, instead of the old fashioned plastic used for the Beyblade‘s.

Takara-Tomy previously launched the original Beyblade game franchise in early 1999, and had sponsored three Anime series between 2001-2004. Beyblade V-Force, and Beyblade G-Revolution being two of them. New episodes of Beyblade have been scarce, as nobody inside the US has seen any Episodes for the past 5-6 years. Viz Media released the original Beyblade Manga, and Takafumi Adachi has launched his new Metal Fight Beyblade Manga in Shogakukan’s Coro-Coro Comic Magazine, in 2008.
