Code Geass Season 3 Announced!

to be honest i hope lelouch isnt in season 3 because R2 gave the perfect way for lelouch to die. hell i even cried and it takes alot for me to cry. to find out he faked it, i would feel cheated out of perfection. infact i hope they decide not to make it or do completely different characters like with G Gundam and Gundam Seed. Its not because i dont like code geass, l loved it, but the ending in R2 was the best ending of any show ever. Simply perfection

ur right…in the first place lelouch didnt die..at the end of R2 but my friend told me that he DID die..because he will sacrifice himself to break the immortality of CC but suzaku got the power lelouch possess…my friend told me but we have to wait for season 3

umm i think the reason CC can talk to marriane (lulu’s mother) is because of marrriane’s geass…. so i dont think she can talk to lulu the same way as marriane unless he is alive and still posses a geass…though im also not saying that lulu is the driver of the wagon

Auggie that is the most absurd thing i have ever heard. His name is Lelouch Lamperouge. which would make him L2, not R2. I do agree with several facts though. Lulu did take his fathers geass. He was unaware of it because you have to die before the code takes affect. this is proven when Lulu (using his geass) commands Charles to kill himself. Charles clearly dies and bleeds out but comes back with the code shortly after. Lulu would have to die before the code could take over and assuming the wound would have to heal first, Charles wound was small from the bullet, Lulu had a large and deep wound from the sword we can assume that it would take awhile for Lulu to come back. if you wan’t more proof just ask.

Oh yeah and the theory that you came up with about Lelouch being the driver of the wagon is not possible it is clear that Lelouch is communicating to CC the same way his mother was, that was clear. Thats the reason they had CC say his name so that you know she was not talking to his mom or talking to herself, be he dead or alive. though matsurihina does have a point, marriane was alive when they were communicating so there really is no proof that CC can talk to Lelouch if he is dead. So there really is no certain conclusion and never will be around the topic of Lelouch’s survival or demise. though i would like to believe that Lelouch went out in a massive blaze of glory and sacrificed himself for the peace of the world, or you can believe that he weaseled out of it and managed to survive. there is no real answer because this series is over.

Wont it be likely that it will be in the same timeline? Not saying that Lelouch is alive or not (though it would be great if he was) But if its not then why is ZERO on the poster? It will probably continue on R2 just abit further ahead in the future

I think it will be amazing if Lelouch was still alive…Yes I do agree that the way R2 ended was AMAZING!!!!!! But Lelouch is a Genius and you would think that he would have a plain so that he wouldn’t die.

in my opinion code geass r3 takes place in a different dimension (or universe) and there might be lelouch, but as a regular or the enemy….. lets see…..

I believe, and hope — Lelouch is indeed dead. Because his death was meant to be the climax of conflict.

It was martyrdom. Dying for a belief, or willing to die for it. He also said something that outlines this. “Those that kill must be prepared to be killed.” which possibly means something similiar to a belief of karma (What goes around comes around, in other words.)

I have no opinion on what C.C.’s ending dialogue. It is meant to be left to the viewer to decide.

…I also have to say this: Mechanical arms and shurikens are hardly original, don’t you think?

…Regardless, I just hope Kozuki-chan survives if she does indeed show up. Because while it says “Different Era” that doesn’t mean far into the past, or the future.

In my opinion, again: If they wanted to make another Code Geass, they should focus on Code Geass: Lost Colors.

I wouuld be very, very happy if they did. They would also make more money, and there is still a large number of people wanting a english version of Lost Colors, increasing their monetary gain quite abit.

Final Opinion: R3 may be a fail. But my opinion is of the five following:

1. Karen dies (By any means, natural, warfare, depression, etc.)
2. That they turn around, and instead make a ongoing series that eventually loses it’s touch and meaning (Like Bleach, for instance.)
3. Lelouch is alive, and faked his death. (Good intentions or no. The smile Karen gave at the finale, and the symbology of World Peace would be lost because of this. Immortal or no.(
4. They use ‘gundamized’ Knightmare frames. (Laser swords, example. Which would throw away the purpose of the Revolving Swords and ‘Blast Spears’)
5. Schneizel ‘Breaking’ his command. (For him to follow and serve Zero) and instead plotting again. (Look. We all saw Damocles burn up, so that also means he’d try to rebuild it. You can’t build something of that size without catching attention.)

….If they stay true otherwise, and don’t kill off perfectly well-made characters, then this is indeed a ‘R’.

One of the greatest Anime Saga’s in the Anime world get’s some of the best news ever! This is simply amazing! I have been a fan since R1 Episode 1. It look’s like they could go a couple of different ways with this. Eighter they could have it be an Alternate Retelling like the Mahou Sensei Negima storyline. Or the never gets old Gundam Saga. Or they could have it be that Lelouch never died and the story in this one is more focused on someone else. Because above it said: “C.C. has appeared in Japan’s historical Edo era to seek a new partner” – a NEW Partner? So that mean’s most likely this is going to be picked up after Season 2. And “Meanwhile, a mysterious man, with a striking resemblance to the character Lelouch of the original anime, also appears with unknown intentions.” Maybe this person is the real Lelouch, like i said, he could’ve survived from Season 2. Or maybe it’s a secret child between Lelouch and Shirley! Oh come on! It could’ve happend! LOL. But what i do know – ALL Fan’s of the Code Geass Saga will come under the mysterious power of Geass when they watch this!

You people are ridiculous.
If any of you followed the show AT ALL, you would know there is no possibility for Lelouch to still be alive. Think about it. The only way for someone to obtain the Code, is for them to kill the person who gave them the geass once their geass is fully developed. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY CAN SIMPLY KILL ANYONE WITH A CODE AND GET THEIR CODE. Also, even if this were the case, the fact is Lelouch was NOT the one to kill Charles, it was God himself (Or whatever you wish to call it.) who killed him, doing as Lelouch commanded. With these factors known, there is no way Lelouch could have had a Code, and therefore could not have been immortal. ALSO. Lelouch was stabbed in such a vital spot, that even with Britannia’s amazing medicine, there’s no way they could have saved him in time, especially when no one was rushing to his aid. The last thing I wish to point out is all this speculation of Lelouch being alive because C.C. talked to him. No one can truly say why this is, one should think it’s because the creator wanted you to keep an open mind for the possibilities, but in MY opinion, C.C. simply missed Lelouch. Often times people will address already deceased people as they’re thinking of them, it’s just showing how much they miss them. But maybe that’s just me. What I really want to get across here, is YOU’RE ALL MISSING THE POINT. The death of Lelouch was the entire point of the anime. Lelouch working so hard to build this perfect world, and in the end, he ends up intentionally making it seem as though he is a cruel and evil emperor, focusing all hate in the world on him, planning his own death, and eliminating all that hate for the good of everyone. This was shown particularly powerfully through Nunally, for as she touched Lelouch, and saw his true intentions, she realized how good Lelouch really was, and wept for the loss of her kind brother. This was what truly made such an amazing anime. With this third season, there is no way Lelouch could be alive, and if he is, then there would be quite a bit of explaining to do, and personally, I would think it takes away from the entire anime. That said, I don’t oppose a third season, I just will not accept Lelouch being alive in a position when it was impossible to remain so, and it would ruin one of the most amazing animes I’ve ever seen if this were to happen. I can only hope that Sunrise wouldn’t think of such a thing. (For all these people saying the third season is focusing around Renya, and in the Edo period, read more carefully, this is never said, it is only said that there will be a manga published as such.)

okay Lefhy im also wondering if you were listening idk which episode was it, but there was an episode which said the lelouch found out what c.c. really wanted…. she wanted to be loved without someone dying, if lelouch was about to die then c.c. should have stopped him, but something could have happened during that one month after charles’ death, so there’s my proof
