Coppelion Anime in the Works!

It was announced in 2010′s 40th issue of Young Magazine, that they’re adapting Tomonori Inoue’s sci-fi action Manga, Coppelion. The Anime is going to be set in 2036, after a radioactive contamination from a nuclear accident has placed Tokyo under a blockade. Three high school girls have been sent to Tokyo, thanks to genetic engineering; the girls are resistant to any kind of radioactivity. Once there, they form a special unit – codenamed “Coppelion”, in the 3rd Division of Japan’s Ground Self-Defense Force.
